Paul's new CD, Paul Terracini: Music for Brass, has been released on the Tall Poppies label. The CD features works premiered by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Brass, and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Brass. The performers are 'Sydney Brass,' comprising Sydney Symphony Orchestra members and other professionals from the Sydney area. The CD was conducted by Paul Terracini.

On 6 May, 12.30 pm, Paul will be conducting at the Centenary Concert being held at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. The program from the opening concert in 1915 is being repeated. It includes Beethoven's Consecration of the House, Elgar's Symphony No 1, and Wagner's Die Meistersinger Overture.

Paul's work for symphony orchestra, soprano soloist, adult choir, and children's choir, Like A Minstrel, which was commissioned by the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre and Penrith Symphony Orchestra for the 25th anniversary of the Centre, will receive its world premiere on 21 March. Paul will be conducting the Penrith Symphony Orchestra, Penrith City Choir, Warrimoo Chorale, Academy Singers, and Penrith Children's Choir. The concert will be held at the Joan Sutherland Centre, 21 March, at 8.00 pm.

22 November, 8.00 pm, Q Theatre, Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, Penrith.

Paul will be conducting Mozart's youthful chamber opera, Bastien and Bastienne. The second half of this concert features vocal soloists from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in arias and duets from Puccini, Leoncavallo, Dvorak, and Gounod.

Sunday 1 November, 8.00 pm, Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, Penrith.

Paul will be conducting the Penrith Symphony Orchestra in "Music for the Movies". In this concert, one can hear classics from the Golden Years of Hollywood by composers Max Steiner and Erich Korngold in films such as Gone with the Wind, Robin Hood, and Casablanca. More recent examples include the works of John Williams, Enio Morricone, Danny Elfman, and many more. 

On 19 October, 4.30 pm, at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre, in Katoomba, Paul will be conducting the Academy Singers in a concert featuring one of Australia's finest Koto ensembles; the Odamura Koto Ensemble. Music from 16th century Europe will be juxtaposed with music from 16th century Japan. The concert will then explore the results of cultural confluence, both in Japan and other parts of the world. Principal Piccolo from the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Rosamund Plummer, who has been on sabbatical in Japan studying the oldest Japanese flute, Ryuteki, will be appearing as soloist.

Paul's Concerto for Brass will be performed at the Royal Conservatory, The Hague, Netherlands, conducted by Sergio Carolino, on 2 October, 2014.

Paul Terracini will be the composer in residence at the Sydney International Brass Festival in 2015. More details to follow.....
